Ongoing Projects

• Supporting United Women in Faith’s international missions through annual donation of pledges by members

• Supporting the cause of reducing gun violence in our city, state, and nation, through annual donations to the Gabby Giffords Foundation and by reaching out to other UWF local organizations throughout Mississippi

• Feeding lunch to the students in the Wesley Foundation at Millsaps College twice each school year

• Adopting a senior citizen or children each Christmas through the Salvation Army

• Sending monthly greeting cards to Broadmeadow’s shut-in members

• Providing support to members and their families during illnesses and bereavement

Special Projects

• Broadmeadow’s UWF has decided to begin monthly collection of specific items to donate to Jackson’s Stewpot Community Services. For December, we’re collecting canned turnip greens, tea bags, and coffee. All kinds of teas and coffee are acceptable, we just ask that donations be pre-ground coffees rather than bags of whole coffee beans.
